What are some other causes of sinusitis in Ayurveda?
In Ayurveda, and at the Yatan Holistic Ayurvedic Centre, we recognize that a holistic approach to treatment is not one size fits all. Different people can have the same problem for many different reasons.
Even though a Kapha aggravation is the most common cause of sinusitis, we must recognize that other causes also exist. Such as: Vata aggravation and Pitta aggravation.
Sinusitis can also be caused by a combination of Kapha, Vata and Pitta aggravation.
This is why it is important to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner and allow them to help you determine the cause and the treatment.
What is Vata aggravation?
Vata aggravation is a problem with wind in the body. When Vata is in balance, the movements of the body are unimpeded.
An out of balance Vata can lead to either excessive or decreased movements in the body.
Vata aggravation tends to be a problem in autumn and early winter.
What is Pitta aggravation?
Pitta aggravation is a problem with heat in the body.
An aggravated Pitta makes us prone to infections.
